| I'm almost sick of physical activity right now. Last night I played hockey with my former dorm's intramural team and helped them move on to the next series in the playoffs. It was a sweet game, 7-2. That game ended at 12:00, I was up till 1:30 then had to get up at 6:30am for a soundcheck cause my team played for chapel this morning. Then tonight I played another hockey game, which we lost 7-6. Then I played volleyball which we lost too, and now we can't play anymore. :( Man, I after typing those two sentences I feel like a loser.
Some cool things that have happened:
Got to play an acoustic set at the Point on Wednesday night along with some really really talented people and that went well. It was for Valentines Day so I covered Rascall Flats, Lifehouse, a few of my own, and for all the brokenhearted, Theory of a Deadman's "Santa Monica". Sidenote: Sometimes it's sort of easy to lose a positive mindset as a musician just cause of the saturation of musicians here. It's easy to compare yourself to other musicians, and that's something I've come to realize is that, it's not about who's better. It's about the style you bring to your sets and to the music you play. Everyone is different and that's where the beauty is and so next time you play music(if you do), remember that. Nobody else plays like you.
Some cool things coming up:
I get to be a guitar tech for YQ in a week, which means I'll be living backstage for the weekend looking after all the amps and guitars and on the fly live stuff. Unfortunately, they don't have big names coming in this year, but it'll be fun to work with bands like Downhere and Runkidrun. It'll give me an inside look at how all the behind the scenes stuff works.
My worship team is going to Regina Saturday/Sunday to play for the amazing church that has us alot. It truly is a great time whenever we play there!
Time to haul my aching body to bed...I don't want to get up for class tomorrow....

| So did anyone else see the SuperBadBowl? Haha, it certainly was an interesting game! I was cheering for the Colts. And the halftime show by Prince was superb entertainment. When they had that sheet fly up and reflected his huge image onto it, that was sweet! Never seen that done before. Well, the music side of things is coming along pretty well, I'm busy writing a few songs to record for Rec Arts II. I know it's a little late in the game to still be working on that, cause I've got to do ghost tracks on Tuesday, but I find it exciting cause the song can take it's own creative course as I record it. Anyway, I gotta go watch Supertroopers.

| It is still ringing in my head....LET'S GO OILERS LET'S GO!!!!!!!! In Rexall place, on the train. Yes, I can now cross out one thing on my list of things to do in life. I went to an Oilers game tonight!!!!!!!!! It was so freakin amazing! Every since last year I've wanted to experience the Oiler spirit and wow, was it ever great. I found out they were playing tonight and decided today that I couldnt' miss it. So I skipped out on the evening Breakforth session, took the train to Rexall place, got a ticket from a scalper, bought an Oiler t-shirt, and enjoyed 3 hours of my favorite team beating the LA Kings 4-3. It was bliss. I can't wipe the smile off my face. Tomorrow we're hitting West Ed Mall, before heading back to school. What a great weekend in Edmonton, if only Nickelback was playing. :)
